I've been home from work for the last couple of days with a sinus infection. Can you say BORED? So, suffice it to say, I now know everything there is to know about Camelbaks! I've read so much that I'm probably just brainwashed by the hype, but they suggest that you stay better hydrated if you have a water source available at all times. The body absorbs water much better in sips than by gulping down 500ml once an hour. Also, you have to pee less because the body absorbs the water better instead of just "processing" it immediately. I'm with you, I need a break about once every 100 km or so for my butt and shoulders' sake, this just seems like a clever idea to stay hydrated in between. This isn't something I'm considering for trips around the block. In a week we're leaving for a trip which will take us about 400 km/day for three days each way, so I want to be as alert and healthy as possible.
